Biography

Dr. Min-Hong Zhang is Professor at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, National University of Singapore. She obtained her Doctoral degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. Prior to joining NUS, she was a Research Scientist at Canada Centre for Mineral and Energy Technology. Professor Zhang is a Professional Engineer registered in Ontario, Canada, and a Fellow of American Concrete Institute. She serves as Director of Centre for Protective Technology, Faculty of Engineering, NUS, since 2010.

  • Elected Fellow of America Concrete Institute, 2004
  • ACI-Singapore Chapter Award 2002 for an outstanding and original paper entitled "Determination of Water-to-Cement Ratio by Optical Microscopy for Concrete Used in Tropical Environment" at the 27th Conference on Our World in Concrete and Structures, Singapore, 29-30 August 2002. The paper was co-authored with MEng student Zhang Shu Qiang
